Our Fundraising Needs

The RMCMA meets 70% of its operating budget through tuition, admissions, program advertising, and building rental. That leaves 30% to be raised through a variety of means: our annual drive, grants, corporate sponsorships and gifts, and special events.

Here’s how we spend our fundraising proceeds:

• Roughly 12% of our students receive tuition assistance and we need to refurbish and maintain instruments in our 200-piece Instrument Bank.
• We provide skilled, customer-friendly administration to our 500+ student families.
• We maintain a clean, bright 10,000-sq. ft. facility.

Since the RMCMA opened its doors ten years ago, hundreds of people have contributed their talent, time, and treasure to build our community music school. Each year, some 100 volunteers help organize events, maintain our facility, assist in the office, serve on our board, and more. Hundreds more make tax-deductible contributions to the annual drive, and over 300 area businesses and individuals donate in-kind goods or services. We are so grateful!
